On 17 December 2020, the “Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss” opened online.
As a first step, the courtyards were opened to the public on Wednesday June 9. The exhibtion spaces opened in September accompanied by a program of guided tours about architecture and history of the site. In the last days of October, restaurant and café and rooftop bar with a a vast terrace opened their doors to visitors.
A timeline in pictures from 2005- 2020 highlights the changing urban landscape, the demolition of the Palace of the Republic, a temporary park and the construction period for the reconstruction of the facades of the Hohenzollern Palace and the Humboldt Forum.
